From London to LA, street food is part of the busy urban lifestyle, where time is precious and grab-and-go rules. But did you know that in India, devouring street food is almost a national pastime, with hawkers and vendors from Calcutta to Bombay peddling delicious snacks and meals eaten at leisure? Chef Patron Cyrus Todiwala of Cafe Spice Namaste will show you how to prepare some lovely, healthy and fresh street food, pointing out what’s popular in different regions of India. Be prepared for a sophisticated Todiwala twist!

Friday, 9th March – IAN RUDGE – A Taste of The Rib Room

The recently re-opened Rib Room in Knightsbridge’s Jumeirah Carlton Tower has been called the ‘bastion of British beef’. Little wonder, with newly appointed Head Chef Ian Rudge tackling prized cuts of this fine British staple, along with other faultless versions of much loved culinary classics. Ian has extensive experience having worked at the one Michelin-starred Northcote Manor, and as senior chef de partie at the two-Michelin-starred Whatley Manor Hotel and Spa in Wiltshire. This will be a lesson in what top-notch beef  and steaks are about.

Wednesday, 11th April – SIMON HULSTONE – Sustainable Fish and Seafood Dishes

Adventure Gourmet welcomes back a national treasure: Chef Proprietor of Michelin-starred The Elephant restaurant in Torquay, Simon Hulstone, who represented Great Britain at last year’s prestigious Bocuse d’Or competition. Wednesday, 23rd May – PETER GORDON – Prelude to Fusion

In London, critics and food lovers can’t get enough of Peter Gordon’s restaurant, cafe and wine bar, The Providores and Tapa Room in fashionable Marylebone, so why should we?  Another welcome returnee to the Adventure Gourmet fold, New Zealand-born ‘godfather of fusion cuisine’ Peter will show us how to prepare a selection of stimulating dishes from his restaurant empire, which includes two spots in Auckland and the newly opened Kopapa in Seven Dials, Covent Garden.

Friday, 8th June – SARAH HARTNETT – A Master Class in Afternoon Tea

Sarah is the Head Pastry Chef of the Park Lane Hotel in Piccadilly. In 2010 she was crowned Pastry Chef of the Year by the Craft Guild of Chefs, the same year she lent her valuable expertise to the National England Culinary Team at the Culinary World Cup in Luxembourg. Sarah will be taking you on an Afternoon Tea adventure – how to concoct those yummy cakes, pastries, name it.  Think elegant drawing rooms, summer garden parties!

Wednesday, 4th July – CYRUS TODIWALA – Cooking the Way Mum Taught Me

Chef Patron of Cafe Spice Namaste Cyrus Todiwala draws on his rich font of Parsee food memories to prepare some very sophisticated Indian dishes. This is home-cooking at its worldly best, and nothing many budding chefs will have learned themselves. Till now. Your chance to know more about one of the world’s lesser known cuisines, but one that keeps customers at Cafe Spice Namaste and the new Mr Todiwala’s Kitchen coming back for more.
