There is a dwindling minority who say wines doesn’t go at all, but the vast majority of our customers would disagree with that statement. We have chosen wines we have tried and tested over many years at our restaurants across London.
Here are a few tips to help you choose the wine to enhance your meal.
We found that dry, crisp whites with little or no oak go really well with our food. The fresh zippy flavours handle fresh ginger, chili, cardamom, star anise and cloves very well. The Torrontes from Argentina and the Leo Hilliger Small Hill White are really exciting.
The fruity upfront reds from warmer climates such as Spain and the New World are a perfect match to cinnamon, cumin, saffron and curry leaves. For Bordeaux and Burgundy we found dishes with onion seeds and tamarind open these wines beautifully.
Rosé & Champagne can be enjoyed with most dishes but the fresh herbs like coriander and mint, or fresh green chili really bring out the best in these wines. Namaste!
